Paris Haute Couture 2011 - Day One with Dior and Anne-Valérie Hash

We were all curious about the Dior fashion show that took place on Monday at the Rodin Museum.
Bill Gaytten, Galliano’s right hand man, who arrived 15 years ago at Dior was the creative brain of this collection.
Instead of going through Dior’s archives, he plunged in the 70’ and 80’ and got his inspirations from the Palace and its parisian crazy nights. He also found his inspirations in architecture with Franck Gehry and in graphism with Jean Paul Goude.
He wanted something glamourous, modern and sensual at the same time.
The wind blew in the hair of the models and were surmounted by geometrical forms.
At the end Pierrot and his moon made an appearance with vaporous dresses.
This show divided the fashion industry. Galliano is known for his phenomenal creations and it's hard to fill in his shoes...

Another show held our attention, Anne-valérie Hash. She was absent for the last two
seasons and she came back on Monday to open the Haute Couture Shows. Les Mlles are happy to mention her because she celebrated the 10 years of her brand and she managed to keep a simple and reality-based style.
Happy B. day Mlle Hash!
