PARABENS « Le Bon Marché »

Do you know that the famous chic Parisian department store?  Le Bon Marché !!!

It celebrates its 160 years old this year!!! For this anniversary, the French actress Catherine Deneuve has been invited to be part of a documentary directed by the iconic French fashion filmmaker Loïc Prigent (author of The Day Before fashion documentaries).
In addition, there are also ten funny illustrations of Deneuve by the artist Marjane Satrapi paying tribute to the Left Bank department store. If you are a fan of Deneuve and fashion, this is definitely the place to be before October 27th, 2012

For the event many brands create limited edition as Kusmi Tea's Label Imperial has been given a spectacular new Art Deco box, Guerlain has given its classic scent Shalimar a Flacon Imperial Bijoux bottle featuring a gorgeous lapis lazuli necklace. Nars has regrouped all of their must-have shades onto one palette, Joie de Vivre by Nars.

So, there’s no better excuse to start your  exclusive shopping!

Small history: Bon Marché building, undertaken in 1869, was engineered by Gustave Eiffel. It has profoundly influenced the whole arrondissement. The Hôtel Lutetia, for instance, was created to house foreign visitors to the store. Its manager François-Emile Morin designed the rue de Babylone’s Pagode as a ballroom. The garden in front of the store is even home to Square Boucicaut, with a statue in honor of Marguerite.

Radar55 vs My French Dressing

During my last trip to Brazil I saw my dear friend Juliana from Radar 55. Juliana is the founder of the famous blog carioca Radar 55, she is also a journalist at Vogue Brazil. We have known each other since nearly a year and it is always a pleasure to spend some good time with her. We have decided to spend the Sunday together at her beautiful house on the hights of Rio – Joã. She welcomed me in a very warmly house which is the perfect mix between traditional and modern style. I love spending time with her and discuss about Fashion, Art and our Paris / Rio talks, lot of good tips to share...
Juliana is wearing a vest from lorafolk, a top and a skirt from Madame à Paris

She knows so many things that we kept talking for hours ! I presented her an exclusive selection of clothes from My French Dressing website. That was pretty cool and Juliana played the model with pleasure. Our friend, Charlotte Valade was also there at our “Sunday brunch”She is a talented French photographer based in Rio since 10 years. She was in charge of the shooting. As she came at the fashion show I did last year for the launch of My French Dressing, Juliana already knows the French and trendy spirit of the website.
The shooting was a lot of fun and Juliana loved the clothes. We had a drink on her terrace with a beautiful view over the sea & “Dois Irmaos”. We shared our fashion tips while enjoying some fresh juice and we did a degustation of Foie Gras – Madame Foie Gras from my friend Jeremie Leclercq.

- What is your favorite place to get a manicure ?
I love to go at the Nail Factory, 208 rue de Grenelle 75007. I am a big fan of mixing dark colors on my feet and light ones on my hands ! They use O.P.I which is my favorite brand.
- What is your favorite bakery ?
Classic and 100% French : Le Pain Poilâne, 8 rue du Cherche-Midi 75006. The bread is traditional and it is the best one for our famous « french tartines ».
- Your favorite coffee in Paris ?
I love to have a fresh juice when the sun goes down on the terrace of the Café Marly, 93 rue de Rivoli 75001. I am always amazed by the view on the Louvre pyramid.
- Your favorite cocktail ?
It used to be the French 76 at the Hemingway Bar of the Ritz Hotel, 15 Place Vendôme 75001. It is a mix of Vodka, sugar, lemon juice and champagne. But they renovate it since April so now, I go at the Prescription Cocktail Club for their famous Cosmopolitan, 23 rue Mazarine 75006..
- Your it-fashion item ?
Definitly ballerina from Repetto. Classic and timeless. You can team them with everything, dresses, skirts, pants, shorts, for the night or the day, at the beach or down town !
- What is your best spot in Paris ?
I adore the quiet atmosphere of the Furstenberg Place in Saint Germain des Prés. I love to take a break when I shop in this area. At night, it is very romantic with the lights !
- What is your favorite jewels brand ?
I have the chance to sell my two favorite ones ! I can’t get enough of the Carnivore double ring from Annelise Michelson and I never come to Brazil without the Eiffel Tower bracelet from Cielle Design.
